Charities
I’ve become more involved with CSV over the four years that I have volunteered.
I think it's very easy to become disillusioned and resigned to circumstance and I can see first hand just how getting involved and making changes can affect a community and individuals positively.
CSV's aim is to involve young people aged 16-35 to volunteer some of their precious time to enrich both the lives of volunteers and those they help and to generate social change. Forty years on they are the UK’s largest volunteering and training charity. CSV Make a Difference Day is an annual event and the UK's biggest day of direct volunteering.
It gives everyone the opportunity to try out volunteering just for one day. We hope that once you get a taste of what you can achieve as a volunteer, you will be inspired to go on to give time on a more regular basis.
CSV MD Day takes place once a year, on the last Saturday in October. This year the date is 25 October 2008.

Climate change
I believe that global warming is one of the most important issues facing us today.
I take a great deal of care that the materials I use come from sources where concern and care for the environment is a priority.
In addition, I work closely with The Global Warming Alliance in promoting the use of non-toxic paints and am totally committed to providing eco-friendly interior designs that are accessible to everyone.
It's important that we all get the message that even seemingly innocuous domestic tasks such as 'redecorating the front room' can have an impact on climate change and that, equally, good interior design does not have to come at a cost to the environment.
